Christopher Todd Thompson

Christopher Todd Thompson, 59, died Sunday, November 12, 2023, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Chester Freedom Ministries with Rev. Steve Bishop and Rev. Bill Stallings officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday at the church. Christopher was born May 17, 1964 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and was a son of Bennie Thompson and the late Major Lee Thompson, Jr. He was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1982 and was retired from Bilo after more than 36 years of service. He was a member of Chester Freedom Ministries. Chris was an avid Gamecock fan. He is survived by three children, Kristin Roberts (Jason) of Lowrys, SC, Drew Thompson (Mackenzie) of Chester, SC and Chad Thompson (Maura) of Simpsonville, SC; six grandchildren, Clayton, Lilly, Easton, Emma Grace, Eden and Beau; his mother, Bennie Smith Thompson of Chester, SC; two sisters, Lee Thompson Hunter (Guy) of Charleston, SC and Liza Thompson Stouffer (Matt) of Charlotte, NC; the mother of his three children, Rebecca Clayton Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
