Mrs. Ailene Bigham Meek, 70, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Shaffer and Mr. Jack Kindle officiating.The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 PM Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church Social Hall. Born March 29, 1943 in Clover, SC, Mrs. Meek was the daughter of the late Thomas D. White, Sr. and Frances Lockridge White.She was a Real Estate Broker in Chester for many years and loved playing golf and bowling.She was very active in the community. She is survived by her husband Max W. Meek of thirteen years; two daughters, Ginger Funderburk and her husband Wayne of Pageland, SC and Robin Rogers and her husband Jesse of Chester, SC; three grandchildren, Stacy Olney and her husband Ryan of Pageland, SC, Clint Lucas andhis wife Samantha and Salem Rogers all of Chester, SC; two step-children, Gail Meek of Charlotte, NC and Bill Meek and his wife Debbie of Monroe, NC; two step -grandchildren, John Meek and Erin Meek; four great grandchildren, Logan, Henry, Miles and Railey; three sisters, Helen Michaels of Clover, SC, Virginia Elder of Gastonia, NC, Cynthia Lyles and her husband James of Lancaster, SC and one brother, Joe White and his wife Jackie of Hemmingway, SC.She was preceded in death by ahusband Harley Bigham, a granddaughter, Jennifer Funderburk and four brothers, Walter White, Carl White, and Bratton White and Thomas White, Jr. Memorial may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
