Biography

YORK: Mr. James Corey Land,35, died Sunday, March 07, 2010 as the result of a motorcycle accident. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 5:00 PM Wednesday and a memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Andy Logan officiating.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany on October 21, 1974 a son of James Maurice Land and Pamela Elaine Hatchell, Mr. Land attended the schools of Chester County, was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was employed with Hydra Platforms of Rock Hill as a certified welder.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Land is survived by his wife, Amanda E. Land; four sons, Jessie, Robert, Conway and Duke all of York, SC; one daughter, Kristian of Chester, SC; one brother, Stacey T. Land and his wife Heather of Edgemoor, SC; maternal grandmother, Mary Hatchell of Chester, SC; two uncles, Billy Hatchell of Chester, SC and Mackie Land of Rock Hill, SC and two aunts, Lila Pritchett of Chester, SC and Betsy Land of Rock Hill, SC.

Corey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James and Sarah Land and maternal grandfather, Billy G. Hatchell.
