Biography

CHESTER: Mr. Allen E. Crosby, 91, died Sunday February 7, 2010 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Reverend Clint Davis officiating. Interment will be in Brainard Cemetery, Cranbury, NJ.

Mr. Crosby was born in Chester, SC on August 12, 1918, a son of the late Alma E. Crosby and Eva Florence Boulware Crosby. He was a graduate of the schools of Chester County and a lifelong member of Chester ARP Church. Mr. Crosby was a member of Highstown-Apollo Masonic Lodge #41in New Jersey and was retired from Walker-Gordon Dairy Farm in Plainsboro, NJ as the Power Plant Engineer and also retired from The Ivy Club of Princeton University. He was the widower of Laura Lee Long Crosby.

He is survived by one daughter, Mildred Morie and her husband Alvin of Denver, CO; one son, Donald Crosby of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Whitney E. Morie and Jillian E. Morie both of Denver, CO, Brett Crosby of Durham, NC and Katlyn Crosby and Connor Crosby both of Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC 29706.
